We, the Kenyan youth, urge everyone to hear our voices. The climate decisions made today, in the past, and in the future affect our generation the most.

We urge you to take action by:

• Engaging/petitioning decision and policy makers such as President, Senator, Governor, Member of Parliament, Member of County Assembly, Ministers, Principal Secretary, Chief Officers, etc., to prioritize youth participation in key processes and address their issues. You can use the sample #NairoGreen Youth Call to Action Letter available here as it is or edit/customize as you wish.
• Drawing content from the #NairoGreen Campaign Communication Toolkit available here, and using it for media engagements as well as posting on your personal and organization’s social media pages/platforms.
• Mobilizing your friends, peers, community-based organizations, donors, and citizens—including children—to take part in community events such as clean-ups and walks; and Speak Out with a clarion call, Sikiliza Sauti Zetu Dunia Inaita (Hear our Voices).
• Petitioning Donors and the private sector to fund youth-led climate action initiatives and use EPR to incentivize youth who engage in voluntary climate actions using the template available here.
• Widely sharing the #NairoGreen Sikiliza Sauti Zetu Dunia Inaita Youth Declaration available here.
• Signing and endorsing the #NairoGreen Sikiliza Sauti Zetu Dunia Inaita Youth Declaration here.
• Demonstrating behavior change such as saving energy and water at home, cleaning your environment, recycling waste, and sharing the photos via #SSY and #NairoGreen hashtags.
